A local woman was a big winner in the Ohio Lottery’s Cash Explosion event.
According to the Ohio Lottery, Louise Tarrant called it a “dream come true” to be chosen as a contender.
She purchased a $5 Cash Explosion 25X Scratch-Off at the West Main BP in Springfield.
Louise, also known as Weeze, entered it into her Lotto Rewards app, hoping her luck would alter.
Her niece noticed her name on Cash Explosion and called her.
She and her spouse traveled to Columbus for the taping.
When it was her turn, Weeze selected her favorite KENO numbers: 3, 5, and 23. The number 23 yielded a bonus. She chose the KENO card and earned another $17,500.
Her total winnings exceeded $25,000.
After taxes, she will get more than $18,000.
She intends to use the money for a vacation with her husband.
