Arlington Man Faces Charges After Exposing Himself To Women, Including Incident Near Children

An Arlington man is facing charges for exposing himself to women three times on the same day, one of which occurred in front of children.

According to the Arlington County Police Department, on May 31, at about 2:40 p.m., a woman was strolling near Clarendon Boulevard and Washington Boulevard when she noticed Ivan Fontana, 37, reportedly exposing himself before fleeing.

Officers scoured the area but did not find Fontana. Around two hours later, authorities were alerted that another woman, walking with two children near N. George Mason Drive and Washington Boulevard, observed Fontana expose himself.

According to authorities, Fontana touched the victim improperly before fleeing the scene.

Officers eventually apprehended him around 18th Street N and Washington Boulevard.

Fontana was charged with indecent exposure, sexual battery, and indecent liberties with a minor.

However, on June 4, police were told of another incident from the same day, May 31, in which Fontana allegedly exposed himself to a third lady in the 1000 block of N Quincy Street. Fontana earned a third indecent exposure charge for this.

Police believe there may be further victims and are requesting anyone who has previously had inappropriate encounters with this suspect to contact Detective P. Pena at 703-228-4183.
