Police are investigating after the body of a missing woman was discovered near a trail in Dallas on Monday night.
According to the Dallas Police Department, police responded at 8 p.m. on March 9 to reports of a body in the 8500 block of Walnut Hill Lane, near Harry S. Moss Park and the White Rock Creek Trail.

Authorities have classified the incident as an inexplicable death.
The Richardson Police Department later recognized the woman as Gwen McTernen, a Richardson resident who was reported missing on March 7.
Police said police from both agencies were searching Harry S. Moss Park, where McTernen was thought to have gone missing, when someone in the park discovered a body. Officials believe the body is McTernen.
The Dallas Police Department is overseeing the inquiry. No other information has been shared.
