One person was taken into custody on several federal charges during a U.S. Marshals operation in Dayton on Tuesday morning.
According to a spokesperson for the United States Marshals Service, a team of marshals executed a federal arrest order in the 100 block of East Elmwood Avenue on Tuesday morning. The warrant was issued in connection with Homeland Security investigations.
Authorities say one individual was arrested on drug trafficking and firearms allegations. Additional information on the suspect, including their identity, has not yet been revealed.
According to reports, Dayton police officers were dispatched to assist with prisoner transport at 6:14 a.m.
No other information has been disclosed, and the inquiry is still ongoing.
