A man was arrested in DeSoto County, Mississippi, for allegedly conspiring to relocate evidence less than an hour after being released from the Tunica County Jail on Tuesday, according to the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office.
Antonio Allen, 23, has been charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and tampering with evidence in DeSoto County.
Allen was freed about 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday after posting an $81,000 bond for attempted murder, drive-by shooting, and unauthorized firearm discharge in a populated area in Tunica County, Mississippi. Around 7:30 p.m., the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office made contact with a vehicle near the Arkabutla Lake Dam in DeSoto County.
The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged Allen and others, according to TCSO.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspects planned to transfer, hide, and transport physical evidence from a previous shooting investigation in Tunica County just days before.
According to deputies, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) are currently investigating this incident.
Antonio Allen, Mylon Done, 22, and Darrius Robinson, 31, were detained on Sunday for allegedly being involved in a shooting and chase that ended in a wreck.
