The inquiry began when a mother called authorities after her 14-year-old daughter reported inappropriate behavior by a person identified as Boles. During the inquiry, investigators discovered that two more youngsters—a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old boy — were also victims.

According to court records, the accusations come from frequent inappropriate sexual activity in front of the children, as well as inappropriate physical contact with one of the younger victims. Investigators also established that Boles’ role as the mother’s live-in lover provided him with access to the victims.

The court found that the activity progressed gradually and comprised grooming-type conduct intended to make the youngsters more comfortable with the unlawful actions.

Prior to punishment, the court ordered that Boles must register as a Tier II sexual offender for 25 years, with in-person verification every 180 days.

Boles was sentenced to four years of community control, which is equivalent to probation.

As part of his sentence, he must serve the first 90 days in the Tri-County Regional Jail, from March 9 to June 6, 2026, before successfully completing the River City Community Based Correctional Facility residential program.
