Over 500 Pounds Of Drugs Seized After Traffic Stop On I-35 In Texas

A traffic stop on I-35 early Thursday morning led to the seizure of more than 500 pounds of illegal substances, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Authorities say a DPS officer stopped a car in Waco at 2:30 a.m. for various traffic offenses.

During the stop, a DPS K-9 named Karma was deployed, alerting troopers to the presence of narcotics within the vehicle.

Troopers then searched the vehicle and found around 480 pounds of methamphetamine and 40 pounds of black tar heroin.

Officials have yet to release any information regarding the investigation or whether any arrests were made.
