The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Silver Alert for a disappearing woman last seen in Boca Raton.
Authorities are looking for Catherine Kangadis, 73, who was last seen Friday west of Boca Raton, her home.
According to the sheriff’s office, Kangadis was driving a 2021 silver Hyundai Sonata with Florida license plate CAT42. Her vehicle was later seen heading northbound on Interstate 95 near St. Augustine Road.
Kangadis has black hair and hazel eyes, and officials fear he is experiencing early signs of dementia, prompting the Silver Alert.
A Silver Alert is used to identify missing seniors, usually those aged 60 or older, or people with cognitive impairments like Alzheimer’s or dementia.
