A Canton man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to prison for raping a teenage girl.
Jason Tooker, 36, was sentenced to 15 years to life after pleading guilty to rape and sexual battery.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office stated that the charges were filed after the victim’s parent discovered sexually suggestive emails between Tooker and the victim.
The parent reported the exchange to the Massillon Police Department.
Tooker ultimately confessed to detectives that he committed sexual battery on the victim at least four times, according to the sheriff’s office.
