A $1 million scratch-off ticket was recently sold at an Allegheny County gas station, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
Officials announced that the GetGo location at 3247 E. Carson St. in Pittsburgh will get a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning $1,000,000 scratch-off ticket.
In the $1,000,000 Winnings, participants must match their numbers with any of the winning numbers on their ticket. The game costs $20 to play and has a top prize of $1 million.
Lottery winnings expire one year after the game’s end-sale date, which is displayed online. All winners should immediately sign the back of their tickets and contact the Pennsylvania Lottery at 800-692-7481.
Scratch-off tickets are issued at random so that lottery administrators and retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold. Lottery officials only find out where a winning ticket was sold after the award has been claimed.
Any lottery reward greater than $5,000 is subject to withholding taxes.
