Three people taken into custody after drug bust in Georgia

Three men were taken into custody following a drug investigation in Coffee County, according to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.

According to authorities, the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit executed search warrants at two homes on March 15. One residence was on Willwood Road, and the other was on Mark Mobley Road.

During the investigation, Michael Witt Sr., Michael Witt Jr., and Dustin Bowen were all detained. Officials said the arrests are part of a larger investigation into methamphetamine distribution in the area.

Michael Witt Sr. has been charged with possession of methamphetamine. Michael Witt Jr. is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a handgun while committing a felony. Dustin Bowen was arrested for outstanding warrants and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

The investigation is underway.
