A woman wanted for capital murder in connection with a 2022 home invasion in Houston was apprehended Wednesday morning in south Laredo, according to the Laredo Police Department.
On March 25, officers from the Laredo Authorities Department and the United States Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force captured Elizabeth Rodriguez, 21, in the 2900 block of Vicente Street, according to authorities.
The Houston officials’ department served her with a warrant for the capital murder of many people, according to officials.
Rodriguez is one of six suspects charged in a home invasion in which two men were shot and later died of their injuries, and a third man was assaulted and hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
The shooting occurred on January 21, 2022, at a property on Avenue Q in Houston, where many suspects entered and began shooting before leaving, according to the Houston Police Department.
According to jail records, Rodriguez was booked into Webb County Jail on a capital murder charge and was still in custody as of Wednesday afternoon, with no bond posted.
