On May 30, detectives from the Narcotics Enforcement Section, assisted by the Emergency Services Team (EST) and the Neighborhood Enforcement Team (NET), executed a search warrant at a residence in the 7700 block of Weatherly Place in La Plata.
During the search, detectives discovered several drugs, guns, and other illicit goods, including hundreds of Oxycodone tablets, Suboxone strips, amphetamine tablets, cocaine, and other related materials. The pills have an estimated street value of $6,400.
Detectives also discovered numerous guns, many of which were unlicensed. Weapons recovered include three handguns, three rifles, and two shotguns.
The suspect, Bruce Robinson, 57, of La Plata, was detained on the spot. He was charged with eight counts of weapons offenses, five counts of drug/narcotics infractions, and one count of drug equipment.
On June 2, a court ruled that Robinson could be freed from the Charles County Detention Center under electronic monitoring.
