A person has died and two others were injured in a crash in rural Ohio.
Lawrence Morris Sr., 62, was heading south on CR 15 with his son when they approached the crossroads with US 30 at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.
According to an Ohio State Highway Patrol press release, Morris failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck on the driver’s side of his vehicle by a semi-truck.
When police and EMS arrived, Morris was pronounced dead on the spot. His son was transported to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. The semi’s driver was also brought to the hospital after suffering injuries.
The preliminary examination into the collision revealed that all three people involved were wearing seatbelts.
The crash is still under investigation.
