Ramos, pictured below, has been charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder and related offenses. Police are encouraging anyone who may have seen Ramos or witnessed an incident to come forward.

Shortly before midnight on June 18th, a driver called 911 to report that his Toyota Prius had been shot at while driving south on I-83.

There were three individuals in the automobile, including a two-year-old child. There were no injuries reported, but crime scene investigators discovered a gunshot hole in the passenger-side window and a projectile stuck in the victim’s car’s front seat.

The Maryland State Police Highway Gun Crimes Initiative identified Ramos as a suspect after studying dashcam footage and conducting interviews.

He is thought to have been driving a Tag Trans Inc. tractor-trailer at the time of the incident.

Police found the vehicle a day later, on Thursday, June 19th, at the TA Travel Center in Elkton, and seized Ramos without incident.

A search of the tractor-trailer turned up a loaded .45-caliber handgun, several hundred rounds of ammo, and numerous expended shot casings.

Pennsylvania State Police are looking into three more shootings that happened Wednesday night between 10:00 p.m. and midnight on Interstate 83 in Pennsylvania.

Anyone who was traveling on I-83 through Maryland or Pennsylvania on Wednesday night and has dashcam footage or information about the shootings is asked to call the Maryland State Police Highway Gun Crimes Initiative at 410-538-1887.
