A teenage girl was shot on Chicago’s Southwest Side early Sunday morning, according to police.
According to police, the shooting occurred around 4:10 a.m. in the 5400 block of South Throop Street in Bridgeport.
According to authorities, a 16-year-old girl was shot in the leg while standing along the sidewalk.
The victim was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in excellent condition.
There is no one in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.
Police did not immediately release more details regarding the shooting.
