New York homicide suspect apprehended in Maine

A 19-year-old wanted for homicide in connection with several gang-related shootings in New York has been apprehended in Maine.

Police said they discovered 19-year-old David McCadney of New York after searching a home at 439 West River Road in Waterville around 11 a.m. on Friday.

According to authorities, McCadney was wanted in New York for second-degree homicide in connection with a number of gang-related shootings.

McCadney was arrested for and charged with fugitive from justice. He is being held without bail at the Kennebec County Correctional Facility.

McCadney is expected to be extradited to New York at a later date.
