Family desperate to find 12-year-old girl missing in L.A. County

Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an at-risk 12-year-old girl who went missing from Palmdale.

Hawaii McArthur was last seen around 8 p.m. on April 19 in the 40300 block of Preston Road, according to a LASD missing persons report.

Mcarthur is described as a Black female who is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair that is generally worn in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing a black blouse that read “move the mindset to call to this call,” gray trousers, and white Nike Air Force sneakers. Investigators stated she was also carrying a pink and black backpack.

Authorities did not clarify whether Mcarthur has any health or mental issues, only that her family is concerned about her well-being.

Anyone with information on Mcarthur’s whereabouts or who may have seen her is asked to call authorities at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Palmdale Station at 661-272-2400.
