Police: 24 Arrests Made During ‘street Racing’ Bust In Arizona

Tucson police reported making a few dozen arrests over the weekend during a street racing operation.

Officers discovered a large gathering south of Kolb and Valencia roads, which included both observers and participants.

Police said they arrested 17 adults and seven minors. Multiple vehicles were towed.

Police warn that street racing events can swiftly develop, endangering the safety of nearby neighbors.”Recent fatal crashes in our community serve as a tragic reminder of the real and long-term consequences of this behavior,” the agency said in a statement.
