A habitual criminal has been sentenced to 12 and a half years in jail for his sixth felony offense.
In October 2025, Reno Police discovered a stolen automobile at a nearby convenience store. Moises Mancillas was found in the driver’s seat.
When the officers attempted to block the stolen car, Mancillas drove into their patrol car and then fled the scene.
Officers had to halt their pursuit for safety reasons. Later, officers from the Regional Gang Unit discovered the car abandoned.
Two days later, authorities located and detained Mancillas.
