This may never be our lunch break.
Do you ever have the hope that you’ll win a million dollars and not have to return to work that afternoon?
We currently have a chance to win $1,000, so you don’t have to.
But one man in DuPage County had a very spectacular lunch break. According to the Illinois Lottery, the individual remains nameless, but a $50 scratch-off proved to be worthwhile.
Our dude was just relaxing at work during his lunch break when he scratched off the ticket and won a million dollars.
He purchased the ticket at his favorite neighborhood gas station (the most Midwest thing ever), Mobil Gas, which is located at 435 W Roosevelt Rd. in Lombard. He decided to acquire a few tickets. One didn’t win, but you better believe the other did.
To add salt to injury, this isn’t “Lucky”‘s first lottery win; he claims to have won about 20 other times, with rewards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, as he frequently plays the lottery.
Meanwhile, you and I would be happy if we won $5.
Here is what Lucky says he’s doing with the money:
I’m going to invest in my family’s future, buy a new home, and refresh my wardrobe. I also plan to donate a portion to a local hospital.
The Illinois Lottery’s ‘Millionaire Club’ scratch-off offers 50 top rewards of $1 million.
Lucky didn’t tell the lottery if he truly returned to work that afternoon.
