One Person Arrested After Drug Bust In Mississippi

A man is facing additional charges in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation, Gluckstadt police said.

Kendarius M. Bess, who was initially arrested on May 27, has now been charged with two counts of trafficking by sale of a controlled narcotic in a restricted place.

The additional charges come from the seizure of around 19,000 multicolored tablets suspected of containing fentanyl.

Bess appeared at Gluckstadt Municipal Court, where he was given a $2 million bond and required to wear an ankle monitor.

He remains in detention and has been moved to the Madison County Detention Center.

Police say the inquiry is still ongoing.
