On a Saturday morning in May, a robbery unfolded on the streets of Northeast Washington, prompting a quick response from law enforcement.
According to a Metropolitan Police Department report, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of 21st Street NE following a robbery.
Multiple suspects approached the victim, one brandishing a firearm and forcibly seizing her belongings.
Although the suspects fled, the victim was unharmed.
The cops made quick progress on the case. On Tuesday, they apprehended a 13-year-old boy for robbery.
He was charged with armed robbery with a gun and put into custody by court order.
While this arrest is a step forward, the investigation is still ongoing as authorities search for additional suspects.
The Metropolitan Police Department claimed that authorities are encouraging anyone with knowledge to come forward.
