Bail has been set for a Jackson man accused of biting a police officer.
Rayshun Williams has been charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and marijuana sale.
He appeared in Jackson Municipal Court on Wednesday, when Judge Jeffrey Reynolds set his bond at $500,000.
The amount includes $100,000 for the marijuana offense and $400,000 for the assault charge.
According to court documents, Williams allegedly clashed with an officer and bit his arm.
The cop was brought to the hospital and treated.
Williams refuted the claim.
He is now being imprisoned in the Raymond Detention Center.
