Philadelphia Police Request Public Help in Finding Missing 13-Year-Old Shermeaka Pointer

The Philadelphia Police Department has issued a call for assistance in the search for Shermeaka Pointer, a 13-year-old missing juvenile. According to a department announcement sent early this morning, Pointer was last seen over a week ago at roughly 12:30 a.m. on East Cheltenham Avenue, the Philadelphia Police Department claimed.

Pointer is characterized as being 5’5″ tall, weighing 110 pounds, and having brown eyes. She is known to visit particular neighborhoods of Philadelphia, including the 58XX block of Catherine Street, the 57XX block of Baltimore Avenue, and the 63XX block of Woodland Avenue, which may provide clues to her whereabouts, according to police. The description of Shermeaka’s physical appearance and known haunts has been extensively circulated in the hopes that someone, somewhere, may recognize the young girl and supply much-needed information.

As the days pass since Shermeaka’s disappearance, the matter becomes increasingly concerning. With each passing hour, the desperation to find her grows as community members and officials alike are concerned for her safety. The Philadelphia Police Department is working feverishly to sort through leads and encourage anyone with information to come forward.

The Northwest Detectives Division is in charge of the investigation, and they are seeking that anyone with information on Shermeaka’s last known activities or present location call them immediately at 215-686-3353. “If you have any information regarding Shermeaka’s whereabouts, please contact us,” the agency asked on their website, in the hopes that they could quickly assure her safe return to her family and friends.
