2 Mississippi pharmacists indicted in National Health Care Fraud Takedown

Two Mississippi pharmacists were among 324 defendants charged nationwide in what the Department of Justice describes as the largest health-care fraud prosecution in history.

Ricky Wayne Quinn and John Anthony Null, nicknamed “Andy Null,” both of Corinth, were indicted for conspiracy to commit health-care fraud.

Federal prosecutors believe they filed false and fraudulent claims to Medicare and Medicaid for over $700,000 in prescription medicines.

According to federal authorities, Quinn and Null reportedly paid cash to runners who delivered legitimate prescriptions for narcotics. In exchange for cash, the runners returned the unopened medications, which were then refilled and billed to Medicare and Medicaid again.

The 2025 National Health Care Fraud Takedown resulted in criminal charges against 324 individuals, including 96 doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other licensed medical professionals accused of schemes that officials claim caused $14.6 billion in damages.

“This record-setting Health Care Fraud Takedown delivers justice to criminal actors who prey upon our most vulnerable citizens and steal from hardworking American taxpayers,” the attorney general, Pamela Bondi, said.

The assistant US attorneys for the Northern District of Mississippi will prosecute Quinn and Null.
