Miller allegedly texted an informant about arranging a methamphetamine buy in late March. The criminal complaint states that Miller planned to purchase two pounds of methamphetamine worth $6,000.

On April 1, after driving from Harrisburg to the Walmart on North Atherton Street in State College, Miller allegedly pulled up next to the informant’s vehicle, exited, and went to his trunk, bringing out a black plastic bag. He then entered the informant’s vehicle and traded the suspected methamphetamine in the black plastic bag for $6,000. According to law officials, the contact just lasted 8 seconds.

An arrest warrant was issued shortly thereafter.

Spring Township Police, the Centre County Drug Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police, and the Attorney General’s Office conducted a combined investigation. Miller was arrested on June 30 and will now face charges of controlled substance delivery, criminal use of a communication system, possession of drug paraphernalia, and counterfeit substance by an unauthorized person. Additional costs are likely.

Miller’s bail was denied, and he is currently being held at the Centre County Correctional Facility.
