Woman Wanted In The July 4th Shooting Death Of Her Boyfriend Arrested In Adams County

The woman wanted for the July 4th shooting death of her boyfriend in Jackson has been apprehended.

According to Jackson police, Aziza Young was detained in Adams County on Monday afternoon.

She’ll be charged with murder and car theft.

Young, 35, was wanted for Adrione Triggs’ death, which occurred over the holiday weekend.

“Based on our investigation, it was calculated,” police said during a press conference on Monday. “Based on witness accounts… she was not defending herself.”

Authorities stated that an altercation occurred prior to the shooting.

According to witness testimonies, Young attempted to “drag the body…move the body” following the shooting.

Police claim she fled the scene in Triggs’ white Honda Accord.
