29-year-old Reported Missing Discovered Dead; Community Rallies To Support Family

On June 27, the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) issued a Missing Persons notification for 29-year-old George Njoroge.

Njoroge was last seen on Wednesday morning, June 25, near the 900 block of Windmill Terrace in Silver Spring, prompting a public appeal for help in finding him. Tragically, Njoroge was later discovered dead.

His family has set up a GoFundMe to aid with funeral expenses. A family member wrote:

“I want to thank everyone who took the time to share my post regarding my cousin George. It is unfortunate we found him deceased. Our community is doing the best we can to cover the funeral set for the end of this week. Apologies for the last minute, but please assist me in providing his parents what you can in support of George. Peace and blessings to all of you and thank you again.”
