The United States Border Patrol’s Laredo Sector said its agents are assisting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in removing dangerous persons from Houston’s streets.
The first suspect is Daniel Alvarez, a Colombian national who was denied entrance to the United States three times by an immigration judge. According to Laredo Sector officials, Alvarez is also accused of being involved in a Houston-area theft network.
The second arrest is Dung Trun Bui, a Vietnamese national who had already been ordered removed from the country. According to the Laredo Sector, Bui has several criminal state convictions, including manslaughter, aggravated assault, and battery. He spent six years in prison.
The third suspect is Honduran national Edwin Hernandez-Mateo, who was apprehended following a final order of deportation. According to the Laredo Sector, he also had an outstanding warrant for statutory rape and sexual abuse of a minor.
