Former Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins was arrested on Saturday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to court documents.
Judkins was detained on Saturday and charged with battery. He was eventually released, according to the website of the Broward County Jail.
According to Sgt. David Soika of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, officers responded to a report of a delayed battery in the 1500 block of West Cypress Creek Road at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Officers interviewed the victim and decided that a battery had occurred. Judkins was later identified, arrested, and charged with minor domestic violence.
The Cleveland Browns selected Judkins with the 36th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. In January, he also helped Ohio State win a national championship. When questioned about the incident, the Browns stated that they are “aware and gathering more information.”
The Browns have arrested an Ohio State rookie this summer for the second time. Mike Hall Jr. was arrested and charged with domestic violence last year after reportedly punching his fiancée, who later denied some of her claims. Hall pled not guilty and received a five-game ban to begin the 2024 season.
