A Philadelphia man was sentenced to seven years in jail for four bank robberies in the city over a two-week span in 2024, officials announced on Monday.

The first bank robbery took place on August 26 at the Citizens Bank on the 2400 block of Aramingo Avenue in Kensington, followed by the Citizens Bank on the 2100 block of Cottman Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia on August 29, according to officials.

The two robberies were followed by two further TD Bank robberies, the first of which occurred on September 4, when Perkins robbed the bank in the 6300 block of Roosevelt Boulevard in Oxford Circle.

Perkins then robbed the TD Bank on the 2200 block of East Butler Street in Port Richmond on September 7, according to investigators.

Perkins handed employees a threatening message demanding cash during each bank heist, according to investigators.

Perkins escaped with cash in the first three bank robberies but fled the final robbery without receiving any money, according to officials.

The seven-year sentence includes three years of supervised release, according to officials.
