Delaware State Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a brutal gang assault on an 18-year-old employee at a Food Lion in New Castle last month, police said.

According to the detective, the victim was working at the cash register when eight suspects entered the establishment. Six of them started punching and kicking him, causing him to collapse and lose consciousness as the attack continued. One suspect was observed standing close, carrying a baby, while another appeared to be filming the attack.

As the suspects escaped, one allegedly threatened to return and kill the victim. They fled the scene in two vehicles, a dark-colored Nissan Murano and a dark-colored Ford Taurus, both with Delaware plates.

Broaddus turned himself in on June 27 to Troop 2 and was charged before being transported to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $17,100 cash bond. Nash’s arrest details have not yet been disclosed.
