Body Of Missing Fisherman Discovered In Salt River East Of Mesa

A missing man’s body was discovered in the Salt River on Tuesday morning, following a search.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reported that deputies discovered the corpse of Trevor Adams, who went missing on Monday at Sheep’s Crossing Recreation Site near Bush Highway.

Adams’ wife, Nicole Nichols, stated that Adams told another family member that he was going around one of the bends, possibly to check for a new fishing site, without any fishing gear, and he did not return for several hours. Authorities were brought in to conduct a search.

Adams, according to his relatives, used to fish in this area on a daily basis. Nichols stated that when she did not hear from him for several hours and he did not return home, she felt something was wrong.

Nichols reported that Adams’ fishing gear was recovered intact. She thanked the family who was at the river on Monday night for notifying police.
