Freshman Football

New year, new football teams at our school, including a freshman team.

We have a new batch of freshman this year. Will they make the cut? Some have been concerned that the newcomers won’t be good enough to win any games (rude). And yet the naysayers may still be right. The freshman game on the eighth had to be cancled due to player injuries.

Is this a sign? Should we have a team with injuries right out of the get-go? Should we kick the injured freshman off, so that we can have a team clean of injuries? These are all burning questions.

But, lets all keep in mind, that last year was the first time the new school, Ridgeline High School, had a football team. All of the teams were brand new, with new coaches and new players, and in our football teams infancy, we managed to pull through. Creating impressive scores and crowd roaring touchdowns.

Should we take a chance on them? I think so. Let’s hope that what they lack in physical condition they make up for in determination. We’re rooting for you freshman!
