A security guard was sentenced for firing more than 20 bullets down a busy street and killing an innocent person.
Bobbye Johnson, 55, was shot in February 2022 as she was leaving a Chase Bank location on 35th and Martin Luther King Drive.

According to witnesses, Brown obtained the gun from another security guard with a concealed carry certificate and fired “wildly” at Renegade about 20 times from his knees.
Brown, a convicted criminal, was charged with first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a handgun.
In May 2025, he was found guilty of second-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and felon possession of a handgun.
In July 2025, over three years after the fatal shooting, he was sentenced to 18 years in prison with a 50% reduced sentence.
