Timmy Anderson, 26, of Temple, was charged with six counts of animal cruelty and neglect after police discovered ten dogs in emaciated condition.

The dogs were badly underweight, and two had serious injuries, including severed and infected ears, according to authorities.

According to DeSoto police, Anderson told detectives he was aware of the injuries but did not take the dogs to the vet because he believed they were alright.

Police said they were working on obtaining fresh warrants for the remaining four dogs.
