17 People Arrested In Latest Kansas City Street Racing And Sideshow Crackdown

The Kansas City Police Department reported Monday that 17 people were detained over the weekend across popular entertainment districts.

An unknown number of arrests were made as part of ongoing attempts to curb sideshows and street racing.

Additionally, authorities issued 29 penalties and towed 15 vehicles, including ATVs.

“Kansas City is not a destination for anyone still trying to street race or participate in sideshows,” KCPD said in its post.

In earlier busts, up to 19 persons were arrested, and dozens more citations were issued.
