Police: Wild Arundel Mills Shootout Ends With 4 Arrests And Pounds Of Pot, Guns Seized

A teenager and three adults are facing charges after a wild shooting near Arundel Mills Mall resulted in a large drug and weapon bust in Maryland, authorities said.

According to Anne Arundel County Police, a 21-year-old woman was caught in the crossfire and shot on Arundel Mills Boulevard at approximately 8 p.m. on Friday, June 20, after reports of shots fired.

According to detectives, gunshots erupted between two cars near Arundel Way in Hanover, striking many vehicles.

The victim, who was not involved, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening upper-body injuries after being struck by a stray bullet, authorities said.

Surveillance from the Real-Time Information Center assisted in tracking the suspected vehicle to Meade Village, where cops discovered it abandoned and secured it as evidence.

That’s when the probe erupted.

Police conducted a search order and discovered evidence that led them to four homes, three in Meade Village and one in Baltimore City.

On Thursday, July 18, detectives conducted several raids and recovered:

Police provided photos showing enormous packages of suspected marijuana, firearms, full magazines, and stacks of phones and narcotics paraphernalia.

Four people were arrested:

Hughes faces firearm and controlled dangerous substance (CDS) charges, according to police.
