A couple has been charged with child deprivation and elderly neglect in Monroe County.
On Thursday, sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Hickman, 28, and Susan Hickman, 35.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department said that deputies responded the same day to a residence along Highway 125 in the Becker hamlet for a welfare check on an elderly senior.
They also discovered two little children.
Deputies reported the dwelling conditions as deplorable and roach-infested, with animals and animal waste.
According to the sheriff’s department, a registered sex offender lived in the home with the children.
