According to the victim’s mother, she had just left the Ward Parkway Shopping Center and was parked on the lower level near Trader Joe’s.

According to KCPD, the suspects failed to take the woman’s keys and fled, leaving her with minor injuries.

According to the victim’s mother, a stranger intervened and assisted her daughter in defending herself against the attackers. She praised the man and requested anyone who knew the people involved to contact the police.

KCPD has yet to release information identifying the suspects. Anyone with information can contact the Kansas City (State of Missouri) Police Department’s robbery unit at 816-234-5230.
