Suspected Felon Cynthia Bentancourt Arrested For Ulta Beauty Theft In North Houston

Authorities have arrested a suspect in a shoplifting incident at an Ulta Beauty store, thanks to joint investigations by law enforcement and local social media. Cynthia Bentancourt, according to a Facebook post by Precinct 4, is facing theft charges after reportedly stealing more than $800 worth of merchandise on July 14, 2025.

Constable Mark Herman’s Office reacted to the theft at the beauty store on the 19500 block of the North Freeway. On camera, Bentancourt conceals merchandise, flees the business without payment, and eventually evades on-site authorities.

The case broke when Grizzy’s Hood News, a platform with a sizable social media reach, stepped in. Their involvement resulted in the positive identification of Bentancourt, a convicted felon. Following a thorough investigation and the consequent production of criminal charges, an arrest warrant was issued for her apprehension.

After a collaborative effort, the Constable’s Special Operations and Canine Unit apprehended the suspect last Saturday at a motel in the 8100 block of the Eastex Freeway, and Bentancourt was arrested.” Cynthia Bentancourt was arrested and put into the Harris County Jail on charges of theft. Her bond was set at $2,000.00 out of County Court 16, according to Precinct 4.
