Police: 1 Dead After Roanoke Shooting

A man is dead after a shooting late Saturday night in Roanoke, police said.

The Roanoke Police Department said officers were dispatched just after 11 p.m. for a report of an assault in the 2900 block of Glengary Avenue NW. Moments thereafter, the police received another call indicating a shooting had taken place at the reported location.

“Upon arrival, officers located a man with gunshot wound injuries dead at the scene,” RPD said.

Police have not arrested anyone in connection with the case, but an investigation is underway.
