Police Pursue And Apprehend 5 Suspects Riding Around In Carjacked Auto

Multiple police agencies helped in apprehending five suspects on Wednesday who were driving a carjacked vehicle across Southeast Washington and Prince George’s County.

According to authorities, around 11 a.m., Prince George’s County and District of Columbia officers, as well as Falcon, the D.C. police helicopter, pursued an automobile that had recently been stolen in an armed carjacking in Maryland.

Following the brief pursuit, police say the passengers attempted to dump the carjacked vehicle in the 1300 block of Brooke Road in Prince George’s County’s Coral Hills neighborhood.

Police apprehended two individuals and recovered the stolen vehicle. Other suspects, however, were able to flee into D.C. using a second vehicle, according to authorities.

Officers on patrol in Washington, D.C., later located the automobile and apprehended three more individuals, according to authorities.

Police have not yet revealed the ages or identities of anyone involved.
