Where would you go on a senior trip if you could travel anywhere in the world? Now think realistically, and if you still want to go to that dream trip in your head what will you do to get there? How hard are you willing to work for what you really want to do? Whether or not you’re planning on going to college, YOU HAVE OPTIONS.  There are programs and scholarships that can help you pay for college and you can work a job over the summer to save up. You can also apply for FAFSA. APPLY FOR FAFSA!!!! Even if you don’t think you will qualify for any money, you still could so it is absolutely worth it to apply.

Moving on to where you might want to go, lets take a look around the United States. ” I don’t know what I want to do for a senior trip yet, I’ve been focusing on college stuff.” said senior Marissa Dictor.

If you are not looking to go too far away or spend that much money, there are plenty of places you can go right in Utah. You and your friends can go on a road trip to St. George or take a trip to one of the many national parks in Utah. If you are someone who feels like they belong in the water, you can go to Lake Powell or Bear Lake with a large group of friends and rent out a cheap cabin, splitting the difference between a lot of people. People who live in Logan or live in Utah typically don think of their hometown as being very much of a tourist town. However, Utah is home to so many fun attractions  You can go hiking, camping, river riding, and boating, and in most of the cities in Utah you can do each of these things.” I’ll probably just go to St. George or something because its cheaper.” sophomore Zach Hoth.

If you’re looking to go out of state, a road trip to California seems only natural. Go to the beach with your buddies and even rent out a boat house. and if you’re feeling trusting, you could spend your nights in a hammock tied to a tree right on the beach. In California there are so many great opportunities to shop.

You might be the type of person interested in diving into another culture, the go-big-or-go-home person. If you are, Paris is a great place to immerse yourself in another culture. You may be surprised just how much french is everywhere, literally all of the directional signs and whatnot are in French even though it is a major tourist location. With amazing sights such as the Eiffel tower, Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre. If you don’t check out the Louvre even just to look at the Mona Lisa you will regret it! There is also a lovely section of the museum where you can walk through a garden of sculptures and they are astounding. It is an unbelievable sight to see and if its not your choice senior trip, then it must be on your bucket list.

Lastly if you really want to get away without leaving the country, New York is a great option for you. Especially if you are a theater kid at heart. visit Lady Liberty and Ellis Island,  or just go for the shopping. You can do anything, from iceskating at Rockefeller center, to watching a live performance of a musical. If you go you should make sure to visit time square if not for the people watching, go for the photo opportunities. There are a million reasons why you might want to visit New York because there is probably a million things to do there. You can even reenact some scenes from the Home Alone movie.
