During rush hour, a gray Mustang was spotted speeding through the 8900 block of W Sam Houston Pkwy N. Deputy Boughter from Precinct 4 stopped the reckless driver, who was clocked at an astounding 97 mph, unintentionally initiating a series of events that led directly to jail.
Officers escalated the traffic stop when they discovered the driver had an expired registration from 2023, as well as a suspended and expired license.
The motorist, whose identity has not been revealed, was not only violating speed restrictions but also the law, with a startling 20 active warrants looming over him.
Following the stop, the Mustang driver was handcuffed and the vehicle was seized; the precinct properly recognized the “Great work!” on their social media.
Precinct 4 announced the arrest on Facebook, where they frequently publish information on crime, arrests, safety tips, traffic accidents, and road conditions. To keep residents updated while on the go, they have established “C4 NOW,” a mobile app that gives real-time updates.
