Police: 6-year-old Girl Reported Missing From Miami Gardens Is Back Home Safe

A 6-year-old girl who was reported missing in Miami Gardens has been reunited with her family, police said.

According to Miami Gardens police, Jenesis Acosta’s father, Janicy Acosta, returned the girl to her mother at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.

According to investigators, Jenesis was last seen around Northwest 27th Avenue and 173rd Street at roughly 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Jenesis is 3 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs around 40 pounds, and has black hair in twists and brown eyes. She had last been seen in a red polo shirt, dark blue shorts, and black sneakers.

According to investigators, Janicy was caring for the child when she went missing. She was found safe and unhurt.
