The New Orleans Police Department has issued a public appeal to assist in identifying and finding two people involved in a recent simple robbery. NOPD News reported the incident, which occurred in the early morning hours of last Sunday. According to the police report, the two suspects were speaking with the victim on the 5000 block of Old Gentilly Road when they unexpectedly took the victim’s wallet and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Around 4:45 a.m., while engrossed in conversation, the suspects took advantage of the scenario. The NOPD has released surveillance photographs of the suspects in the hopes that community members may recognize the suspected culprits and provide crucial information. The NOPD has not revealed any additional information on the suspects’ description or where they went after the heist.
