According to a probable cause statement filed by the Kansas City Police Department, at about 5:55 p.m. on April 28, law enforcement personnel were alerted to reports of a shooting.

When first responders arrived on the site, they discovered a casualty with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen, as well as a running vehicle with no passengers. The victim stated that he was shot during an argument with two of his coworkers, Irvine and Isaiah Williams.

Law enforcement sources said the victim was transferred to a local hospital after half a dozen empty round shells were discovered at the site, as well as many bullet holes in the running vehicle.

The investigation also revealed that Irvine had previously been convicted of distributing narcotics. He is now charged with first-degree assault, unauthorized use of a weapon, and two counts of armed criminal conduct.

According to court documents, Irvin’s arrest warrant was issued on Thursday with a $100,000 bond. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 60 years in prison.

A bond review hearing has been planned for 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, with a preliminary hearing set for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10.

As of Friday evening, the Jackson County Detention Center indicated that Irivin had been arrested and was still in custody. No other information has been shared.
