The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating after a woman using a walker was robbed in the Northwest area on Saturday.
According to MPD, officers responded to the 1600 block of Fuller Street, Northwest, after receiving complaints of a robbery.

Upon police arrival, the victim reported that a man had approached her, begging for $5 to purchase food. When she declined, the man allegedly moved around her, reached inside her walker, and stole her items before fleeing to Mozart Street, Northwest.
Authorities identified the suspect as a man dressed in a black T-shirt. No injuries were recorded, and the inquiry is still ongoing.
